CG for “Concours Général”.
Probably the most difficult competition of the french educational system !
Even if the level taught in Terminale is supposed to be enough to compete, it is clearly necessary to have a complementary formation.
Students wishing to present themselves have to ask their teacher, as he will confirm the inscription.
I will propose to the interested students some works and a choice of problems from the previous competitions.
After they had time enough to think to solutions, we will together see how to use our knowledges, in better ways, to solve the problems.
I will also give them complementary informations, technics, and push their skills to the limits, in order to push back and back these limits.
As the purpose is not the baccalauréat, the proofs awaited are a bit different from the classical work we used to ask in class.
There also will be some efforts to put in ordering and selecting what is necessary at this level, and what can be used as an evidence.
We will also try to improve the accuracy, the speed and the capacity for adaptation of the students.
A hard work is waiting them, but I truly believe that the gain is worth the pain.
