Overview:
Two main goals this school year:
• increase our knowledges about numbers and algebra as well as about euclidian geometry.
Doing so that students will master all the basic and classical knowledges and methods at the end of 9th grade.
• initiate the students to the technics of reasoning and develop their understanding of what is a proof about.
We will in fact focus on arguments and writing proofs.

- Enlarging and reducing figures in the plane
- Centers of edges and triangles: a first case of Thales’ theorem

- Finding a number in a situation of proportionality
- Graph of a situation of proportionality

7th grade is an important transition period in the school life of the students.
Writing complete answers to the questions asked should be an important part of the student personal work.
Introducing, drawing a sketch (even though it is already in the book), quoting the properties, organising the arguments, concluding are the homework to do.
Just a result won't usually be enough.
It's often a difficult and thankless task at the beginning.
Dedication and tenacity will be useful. The work will pay later.
Students should focus on using the methods and the models given during the class.
